The message, shared on Instagram for Rodriguez’s 31st birthday, led to speculation that the couple may have secretly tied the knot.
In the post, Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr, wrote, “For the mother, partner, friend, my wife… happy birthday, love. Your light illuminates us and your love infects us,” along with a heart emoji. While Ronaldo’s use of the word “wife” is not new, the couple has not publicly confirmed their marriage. In fact, this is the second time Ronaldo has referred to Rodriguez as his wife. He also called her his “wife” at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards.
The couple, who have been together since 2016, have often faced questions about their marital status. Additionally, both were spotted wearing what appeared to be wedding rings in a YouTube video, adding to the rumors.
In past interviews, Rodriguez has expressed her desire to marry Ronaldo but mentioned that their focus is currently on their children.
